R.I.P Playgirl Magazine

As a teen in the late 80's and early 90's, the pic above of Playgirl's Brian Buzzini was one of the most beautiful pictures I had ever seen. It stimulated many of my fantasy's. Although it wasn't a full frontal, its beauty amazed me.

I remember when I could drive, going to stores far away from my house to buy Playgirl. I usually put a sports magazine and a Time Magazine in front of and behind it and nervously waited until there was no one in the store before I went to the cash register. I also usually liked a store with an older women behind the counter when I made my purchase.

Oh the money I wasted on magazines I had little interest in just to get my copy of Playgirl. I remember getting flop sweat when someone would enter the store before my magazines were safely in a bag. I am sure many of you had similar experiences. As happy as I am that I no longer have fear when buying a Playgirl, it was so exciting to get home, lock my door and devour the latest issue.

Oh how I wish I had kept all the issues I bought, but due to fear of being caught with them by a parent or sibling, I hid the current issue for a week or two, then threw it out in a public garbage can while taking the dogs for a walk. Despite the fear I had at being caught, I look back on those memories with a smile.

Playgirl is ceasing publication and focusing on it's online content. I understand why, magazines are slowing going the way of the BetaMax VCR, but I still find it sad. My youth and Playgirl go hand in hand. Thanks Playgirl for many great memories! I never had an interest in hard core porn, but the soft core pictures in Playgirl were what I enjoyed. Brian Buzzini was and remains one of my all time favorite Playgirl models. Some of the pictures, especially some of the 'tease' shots were some of my favorites.

Definitely have fond memories too! Although there was another magazine prior to it called "Viva" in the 70s my mother brought one home from the supermarket "as a joke" I can remember wanting to sneak in to their master bedroom's bathroom to pour through it secretly!! I was only about 9!! Wonder what that meant?! :-) She also bought my sister a joke Playgirl for "turning 21" in 1980! You bet that one got spirited away when they weren't looking!! Especially nice was that one of the (unknown now) models looked a lot like someone I had the hots for in high school! Served my imagination well that "this could be what he looked like naked"!!!
:-) Last few times I remember seeing of one was the late 80s when a few soap stars posed and if I'm not mistaken, so did Tommy Chong!! I was gunning to pick up the infamous Brad Pitt issue when I heard about it but never did!

Brian Buzzini brings back a smile and so does similar memories of buying Playgirl a town away. And you know what? I sent that first picture of BB to my phone a bit ago and whenever I need cheering it becomes my wallpaper...

Hi, Tye. I had no idea that Brian Buzzini had passed. I noticed that your posting is dated in August 2008. I don't find any mention of his passing when I look for him. Yes, he's one of my many fantasies I've had in my life. Thanks for remembering him here.

Hi,
Brian Buzzini is alive and well!
The R.I.P was for the ending of the magazine.

LOL! Hi, Tye!

Oops! Thank GOD Brian Buzzini is alive and well... What an embarrassing moment; I hope Mr. Buzzini never hears of this!

You may have also confused Buzzini with Brian Bianchini a playgirl model who did die in 2004.

I can't begin to tell you how many loads of cum I shot in honor of Brian Buzzini. That bathroom shoot in particular. Oh MAN that guy was THE epitome of hot, sexy male!
