Favorite Pic of the Day for December 28th

Today's posts are only going to be on the front page for a few hours. I wasn't planning on posting today. I planned to take the week off, and my posts for the next few days were done before Christmas with stories for the 29th set to be posted in the morning. But... I had a few Christmas images I had already put together but more importantly, I wanted to ensure I paid tribute to the passing of George Michael and Carrie Fisher. Michael's music, and Fisher's movies, and personal struggles and humor, were important parts of my growing up. Both were taken far too young, but both burned powerfully strong in their far too short lives. I always wonder about energy. Both performers seemed to have so much of it. So much fire burning so intensely for all of us to feed off of and enjoy. With that amount energy exuded so consistently, it might be expected that the fire, as sad as it is, had to go out early, long before the night was over.

Happy Birthday today December 28th

I'm Never Gonna Dance Again

I feel so unsure
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor
As the music dies, something in your eyes
Calls to mind the silver screen
And all its sad good-byes

True Force:

Will someone get this big walking carpet out of my way?

Unconventional Hunk of the Day: Kyle Mooney

Kyle by Robert Ascroft

While watching the season finale of Saturday Night Live last season, I was once again surprisingly turned on by actor Kyle Mooney.  I could understand fully why Fred Armisen wanted to mount him on that teachers desk.... I wrote this piece then, but forgot about it until I saw it in my draft posts this week.

I didn't really like Kyle his first season on SNL, but this year he has many opportunities to shine. Kyle has gone from one of my least favorite parts of the show, to one of my favorites!   I don't want to dive to deeply into this crush, it can't be a coincidence  that Mooney often in a wig, plays the young, cute but often naive dork in so many sketches, a type I have had to come to admit must turn me on.
