Blast From The Past for February 12th Ben Murphy

Actor Ben Murphy is known to many for his role in the 1970's series 'Alias Smith and Jones'. I was not born when this series was on the air, but I do remember lusting after Ben during the 80's when he was a fixture on tv in shows like 'Lottery', 'Berrengers' and the mini series 'The Winds Of War'. Ben also did the tv guest tour appearing on most of the shows of the time including 'Matt Houston', 'The Love Boat', 'Hotel' and many others. Ben continues to appear on tv with roles in the past few years on 'Jag', 'Judging Amy' and Cold Case'.

Besides his film roles, Ben has a great resume of film roles beginning as an extra in the 60's in 'The Graduate'. Ben, who could easily be related to Tom Berenger is one of those actors people love and has worked steadily since his first roles close to 50 roles. Ben is also lover of tennis and spents much of his free time on the court.

You can check out Ben's official site HERE: which has some great recent pictures, showing Ben is still as hot as ever. You can also check out my favorite Ben site HERE: A tribute to 'Alias Smith & Jones' with tons of info and pics from Ben on the show and off.

I was trying to track down the source of these hot pics of Ben for awhile. Thanks to a poster at Dreamcaps I found out they came from a November 1973 short lived Playgirl type magazine called 'Viva'. In the photo series photographed by Earl Miller, titled Bess and Ben, Ben appears along side singer Bess Cofield. I have recently seen the magazine for sale on ebay if anyone is interested.
