Mr. August: Jefferson Brown

I watched a bit of The 12 Men Of Christmas when it originally aired back in 2009. I loved Kristin Chenoweth in Wicked, but on television I find her best taken as an hors d'oeuvre. Enjoyed in small doses at the beginning. Too much of her throughout the meal can be too much and leave you with that saccharin after taste.

That being said, I did DVR only to refresh my memory of Mr. August. Although in the movie Kristin goes for Josh Hopkins, it was Eric, played by actor Jefferson Brown that caught my eye. There was something so sexy and appealing about Brown's portrayal of Eric, even with only a few brief scenes. Although he won me over from his first scene, his calendar shoot scenes took it over the top! Brown's thin frame and tight stomach was made all that more adorable by the characters embarrassment and shyness with taking it all off. It I was too have purchased this calendar, it would have remained August all 12 months of the year.

Although you may not have known Mr. August's name, I am sure you are familiar with some of his work. The Canadian actor has appeared on Canadian based television shows from Being Erica, Degrassi: The Next Generation, L.A Complex, M.V.P, Haven, Rookie Blue and Queer As Folk (see below). Brown has also had roles in motion pictures from Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Red, Please Kill Mr. Know It All, Mr. Viral and the lead in 2007's Pigs. Brown was given The Male Achievement in Acting prize at the 2007 Canadian Filmmakers Festival for his performances in Most Likely To and Dead Mary.

Pigs (2007)

Jefferson was not nearly as likable (yet still as watchable) in 2007's Pigs. His character however gets pay back for his treatment of women in the movies last few minutes. Miles is seduced, stripped, then publicly humiliated in a great scene, that although does not show much, is still a satisfying conclusion for the character.
