Kudos to Seth Meyers

I don't usually stay up late enough to watch most of the late night shows, but sometimes record if there is a guest on that I like. Since Letterman went off, there really isn't a show I have been that connected with. But... Seth Meyers, especially his first 10-15 minutes have become a must watch for me. I had been planning on writing something for awhile, but yesterday, Greg In Hollywood beat me to it!

Ever since Meyers changed his opening, harking back to his time as doing Weekend Update on SNL, his opening is a must see. I admit, Meyers take on the current political atmosphere is very much like mine, but he is also hilariously funny. As disappointed as I am NBC chose to support Trump back on the network to host SNL, Meyers night take on his stupid comments and hypocrisy make up for it just a little. Meyers was actually on SNL when Trump hosted the first time, but after Meyers hilariously roasted Trump during his hosting of the correspondents dinner, Trump is no fan. Trump may have the NBC spotlight on him Saturday, but Meyers keeps an even brighter, and more cutting, light on him five of the other days of the week.

Stage to Screen: Rubén De Eguia

In America, actors who excel on stage with a particular role, rarely get the chance to play that character on film. Sometimes, it is a question of timing, a movie is made years after a stage show closes. Most often, like the case of Meryl Streep taking over from Bernadette Peters in Into The Woods, money is at the heart of casting decisions.

Stage: El principi d'Arquimedes (2012)

Thankfully however, exceptions sometimes occur. Spanish actor Rubén De Eguia first played Jordi in a 2012 of El principi d'Arquimedes at the Grec 2012 Festival de Barcelona. A few years later director Ventura Pons cast Rubén in the 2015 film version, El virus de la por. I have not seen the film, released last month, but hopefully it will make it's way on-line or on DVD very soon.

Strike A Pose: Londonboy by Finexposure

This past September, I featured London photographer Finexposure and his work with Londonboy. In that piece, (Tree Trunk) we followed Finexposure's Allen Beauvisage into the forest for his location shoot with the 29 year old London model. This was the first time I featured Allen's location work as the previous pieces I had done all focused on his studio work.

Allen's work with Londonboy definitely required a part two. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to head back into the studio and feature the images Alan captured there. Allen's focus is on fitness, pose and the male form. As you can see from this set of images, and the variety of body stances captured, how beautifully Londonboy's form looks in various poses and body positions.

Allen did an incredible job capturing Londonboy's physique, but as well his great facial features and his beautiful dark eyes. I was struck by how many different poses Allen captured, and how the differences highlight each glorious area and the various muscle groups on Londonboy's incredible body.
